Consider This: Death Penalty (Part 2) — Is Nagaenthran ‘Fit For Execution’?

Today at dawn Singapore executed Abdul Kahar bin Othman, a 68-year-old prisoner convicted of drug trafficking. It was the city-state’s first execution in two years. This comes just a day after Singapore courts rejected an appeal against the execution of Malaysian national, Nagaenthran Dharmalingam -- dismissing the argument put forward by his legal team that he should be spared because he is mentally impaired.
