Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) president Mohamed Sabu has stressed he would not retract his allegation that PAS' way of thinking was influenced by the so-called IS group of militants or Daesh 'school of thought'.
The former PAS deputy president, better known as Mat Sabu, said there was no need for him to retract his statement although PAS had lodged a police report on the matter.
"Retract what? I am not aware of any police report. I have not read about PAS filing a police report against me," he told reporters after the state-level Amanah launch ceremony here on Saturday.
Mat Sabu claimed the PAS leadership's criticism against him that his statement was a desperate attempt to revive his political career was merely the party's (PAS) own interpretation.
"My political career is still relevant," he said.
Meanwhile, Penang PAS has lodged a police report against PAN vice-president Datuk Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa on a statement that PAS had 'links' with the Daesh and Al-Maunah militants.
