The last relief centre in Setiu, namely at the Surau Kampung Nyatoh had been fully closed this morning, reducing the number of flood victims as at 1pm today to 1,372 compared with 1,473 victims this morning.
The Social Welfare Department, via the Infobanjir application, reported that 337 families were still placed at seven relief centres in three districts namely in Kuala Terengganu, Marang and Dungun.
In Kuala Terengganu, the number of victims remained unchanged at 1,199 from 286 families since this morning.
Meanwhile in Dungun, 73 victims had returned home with the latest figure of 135 victims (39 families) at two relief centres namely at the Paka Civics Hall and SK Durian Mentangau.
In Marang, 38 victims from 12 families were still staying at the relief centre at SK Pasir Putih.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is expected to arrive in Kuala Terengganu at 3pm today to visit flood victims at several relief centres in the district.
