Youngsters or the Gen-Y in Malaysia are friendlier in the virtual world, especially on Facebook.

This is according to a survey carried out by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) together with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).

Out of the 2,000 respondents between the ages of 18 and 22, 72.1 percent agree that they get their latest dose of information or news from Facebook.
