A suspicious looking duffel bag left lying on a road in Bangsar near here had earlier caused some panic among residents.

But when police came after receiving a distress call by one of the residents in Jalan Terasek 8, they only found clothes in the bag instead of explosives.

Police, however, sealed off the area while inspection was taking place.

The police are expected to make a statement over the matter soon.
