Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today urged all parties to help the homeless in this country.

Najib said Ops Qaseh of the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry is among the government's initiatives to help the homeless.

"As Malaysia heads towards developed nation status, let us not forget the needs of the homeless," he said in his latest tweet.

He was commenting on the Bernama news link titled "Ops Qaseh To Address the Homeless" which was released yesterday.

The news quoted Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Rohani Abdul Karim as saying Ops Qaseh will be launched in July to address the homeless problem in the city.

Rohani said the homeless will be sent to Desa Bina Diri (DBD) for at least one month before handed over to relevant authorities for further assistance.

"Via Ops Qaseh, the homeless will be protected and also given counseling, religious guidance, personal skills training and so on at DBD."
