Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak during his visit to KL Sentral on Wednesday said he found long queues of people waiting for their turn to purchase tickets.
The visit to KL Sentral was to gain public's opinion on public transportation in the Klang Valley.
He said he had called the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) president, Lt. Col. (B) Sarbini Tijan, on Thursday morning and shared his opinion andobservation at KL Sentral.
"I was told today several actions have beentaken including the addition of two more ticket counters, one for north-bound and the other south-bound ," he wrote in his blog yesterday.
He said he was informed that two more staff have been added to issue tickets manually.
"I hope the improvements can help the people to use public transport in a more comfortable manner," he said.
Najib also thanked the KTMB president for his quick action.
