MIC is in the midst of finalising the Indian Blueprint, which will be presented to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak soon.
Its party president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel said the party had been working on the plans for the past year to develop a blueprint, covering education, jobs, business, culture and religion, among others.
The blueprint outlined milestones, action plans and detailed policies for the community over the next 15 years, he said.
"I am thankful with the tabling of the 11th Malaysian Plan by our prime minister for announcing a special blueprint to empower the Indian community in the country in various fields for the next five years," he said in a statement here today.
Palanivel, who is also Natural Resources and Environment Minister, urged the Indian community to take full advantage of the initiatives and shine again under the plan especially in the sports field.
