The price of petrol and diesel will be increased by 10 sen per litre as of midnight tonight.
For the month of June, the price of RON95 petrol and diesel is RM2.05 per litre while RON97 petrol is RM2.35 per litre, the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry stated on its Facebook page.
The new price for RON97 is inclusive of the six percent Goods and Services Tax.
The fuel price increase is the first in two months. The last change in fuel price was when it went up by 25 sen per litre from March 1.
Then, RON95 petrol was priced at RM1.95 (up from RM1.70), RON97 petrol was at RM2.25 (up from RM2) and diesel was at RM1.95 (up from RM1.70).
The change in fuel price follows the ministry’s decision to set the market prices on a managed float which started from Dec 1 last year.
