Minister of Tourism and Culture Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz said that the number of Chinese tourists visiting Malaysia has been adversely affected following the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370.
He said that many tourists fro CHina have cancelled their trips to Malaysia. In fact, no flight reservations have been recorded for flights from China to Malaysia.
Nazri said that his ministry will suspend all forms of promotions and campaigns relating to Visit Malaysia 2014 in China out of respect for the country's citizens following the fact that a majority of the passengers on MH370, which went missing on 8 March, are Chinese citizens.
