Former Batu Kawan Naib Ketua UMNO Bahagian, Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan is wondering why national strategic investment development company, 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) did not inform the issues they were having at earlier stage and only started to do so when it has been buried in debts amounting to billion of ringgit.
He said none of 1MDB business activities were ever informed at the cabinet during meetings, making the members unaware of any arising issues.

“This is why no Cabinet minister is knowledgeable of 1MDB administrative work until its debt reaches RM42 billion.
"I'm confident that various 1MDB business transactions were not informed to the Cabinet for approval in order for the transactions to be implemented within the country or abroad.
"1MDB is managed only by its own management force and the board of directors. All 1MDB business activities move on the basis of 'Go Global' where the businesses involved international counterparts especially from United Arab Emirates (UAE)," he told Astro AWANI here,Tuesday.
Cabinet also was informed to focus on 1MDB issue.
On Tuesday, Cabinet ministers attended a closed-door meeting, believed to discuss about 1MDB issues at the Majestic Hotel, here.
At the same time, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's supporters converged on Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) for a mini homecoming for the Deputy Prime Minister’s who had been in Australia for vacation.
The 1MDB administration now, said Khairuddin seems 'unnecessarily aggressive' and 'ambitious'.
"1MDB activities were unknown during the early course of its establishment and people are made aware of it only in the middle.
"We do not know who planned the 'road map’ that has gotten the company into a huge debt , who was the mastermind that suggested the RM7 billion investment in the Cayman Island ...along with other mysteries clouding the issue that had many people in the dark as to what is happening," he stressed.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had previously requested any Cabinet members who are not with him on the recovery of the debt-stricken 1MDB to resign.
Najib's statement was reported made during the Cabinet meeting last Friday after Finance Minister II, Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah had completed the tabling of 1MDB road map to all Cabinet members.
Khairuddin also disputed Najib's call to action, besides seeing it as a 'traumatic moment' for the country’s supreme leader.
"When a huge financial scandal in the country had been exposed and made known by the people, Najib suddenly requested all Cabinet members to unite in order to resolve 1MDB issue.
"Najib has never spoken about it to Cabinet, but now when 1MDB is lumbered with debt scandal, Najib has ordered Cabinet members to collectively be responsible. Is this fair to the members of the Cabinet?" he added.
