Seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher is no longer in a coma and has left the hospital in Grenoble in south-east France, his family said in a statement today.

Quoting foreign media reports, the 45-year-old German will continue his rehabilitation at an undisclosed location.

Schumacher had suffered a severe head injury while skiing in the French Alps last Dec 29.

He was placed in a medically induced coma by doctors to help reduce swelling in his brain.
