KOTA KINABALU:Sabah Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor declined comment on who the new Sabah Chief Minister candidate is.

On the other hand, the Sulaman State Assemblyman (ADUN) only smiled when asked about it.

Hajiji also informed that the 'discussion' has been completed.

He said, further statement on the matter will be released later today.

"After the discussion, I will give a statement (on who the new Sabah Chief Minister is)," he said briefly.

Meanwhile, when asked if the swearing-in ceremony will be held today, Hajiji asked the media to wait.

Earlier, Hajiji was seen leaving The Magellan Sutera here while the meeting of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) leaders was still in progress.

GRS held a joint meeting attended by the Secretary General of Perikatan Nasional (PN), Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin; UMNO Vice President, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob; and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) president, Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan.

In the 16th Sabah State Election (PRN), GRS won 38 DUN seats out of 73 contested.
