KUALA LUMPUR:A total of 660 new positive cases of COVID-19 were reported for two days in a row with almost 65 percent of them involving infections in Sabah.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, said the increase in new infections made the cumulative number of cases reach 17,540 with 5,768 active cases.

1. A total of 660 new cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded on Wednesday bringing the total to 17,540 cases.
2. The total number of active cases with COVID-19 infection is 5,768 cases.
3. A new cluster, Kencana Cluster was detected involving Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Johor.
4. A total of 108 patients are receiving treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) with 35 of them in need of respiratory assistance.
5. Four deaths were reported as of 12 noon Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 167 cases.
