All the passengers and crew of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 is still under investigation, said acting Transport Minister, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
He said that the pilot, co-pilot, crew and passengers onboard the flight are innocent until proven otherwise.
“Police are currently investigating under Section 130C of the Penal Code,” said Hishammuddin during a press conference held at the Sama Sama Hotel, here on Wednesday.
He also said relevant authorities have been contacted to help in the investigation.
“We have obtained the background information from all over the world apart from Ukraine and Russia for all the passengers onboard MH370.
“To date no significant information has been obtained,” said Hishammuddin.
Two of the passengers onboard the plane were Iranians who were reported to have left Malaysia using stolen passports owned by an Italian and a Ukranian citizen.
The last communication which was “All right, good night” from MH370 to the control tower was made by the plane’s co-pilot, Fariq Ab Hamid.
The plane had failed to be detected by radar as soon as all communications were shut down.
It was also reported that the plane had turned back 45 minutes after leaving the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
The MH370 which was on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing disappeared on Saturday morning, March 8 and has since not been found.
