The wife of Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, Puan Sri Noor Yvonne Abdullah, 68, died at a medical centre in Subang Jaya, Friday.
Her granddaughter, Tengku Nazeehah Tengku Mahmud, 36, said Noor Yvonne was suffering from multiple myeloma, a blood cancer, and received treatment at the medical centre since last month.
Her remains arrived at her house in Jalan Langgak Golf, off Jalan Tun Razak, here, at 9.45pm.
Those who paid their last respects included International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak extended his condolences to Tengku Razaleigh, who is Gua Musang Member of Parliament, on the demise of his wife.
"May her soul be blessed. Al-Fatihah," he said in his Twitter posting.
Funeral prayers are scheduled for 10.30am tomorrow before burial at the Muslim cemetery in Jalan Ampang.
