Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has 'invited' Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to work with his coalition.
According to Anwar, he had no personal problems with Muhyiddin and invited the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) president to work together.
"Tan Sri Muhyiddin, now, with this number, falls as the prime minister.
"I invite him to cooperate. I have no personal problems with him.
"His willingness to work together will help the changes, the transition to be peaceful and orderly.
"If he is ready, he can serve in any suitable position," he said in an emergency press conference at a hotel here on Wednesday.
In the same press conference, Anwar earlier claimed that he had a strong majority to form a new government in the near future and stressed that the Muhyiddin-led government "had fallen."
"With the support and a strong and convincing majority, it means that at this time the government led by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has fallen," he said to applause, cheers and shouts of 'Reformasi' from his supporters.
He added that further information and steps will be informed after he meets the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in the near future.
Anwar asserted that he was allowed to have an audience with Al-Sultan Abdullah last Tuesday at 11 am but had to be postponed because His Majesty had been admitted to the National Heart Institute (IJN).
Muhyiddin was officially appointed as the eighth prime minister on March 1, ending the political turmoil that has plagued the country since February 22.
