KUALA LUMPUR:A total of 293 new cases of COVID-19 were reported as at 12:00 noon today.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) in a statement said it involved 292 local cases and one import case that got infected from abroad.
This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 12,381 cases.
Thus, the total number of active cases with COVID-19 infectivity is 1,961 cases.
They were isolated and given treatment.
MOH also informed that there were 67 COVID-19 cases that have recovered today.
The cumulative number of cases that have fully recovered from COVID-19 is 10, 283 which is 83.05 per cent of the total number of cases.
To date, there are 28 COVID-19 positive cases being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), of which four cases require respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, no new deaths involving COVID-19 were reported today.
Thus, the cumulative number of COVID-19 death cases in Malaysia is 137 cases (1.1 per cent of the total cases).
