ST PETERSBURG, RUSSIA: The message to the participants, organisers, and guests of the St Petersburg International
Economic Forum 2026, to be held under the motto “Pragmatic Dialogue: the Path to a Stable
Future”, has been published on the official website of the President of the Russian Federation.
In his message, the Head of State noted that the St Petersburg International Economic Forum
traditionally brings together leading politicians, representatives of the business community,
academics, and public figures to discuss the challenges facing the Russian and global politics and
economy.
“At a time when international relations and economic ties are plagued by unprecedented
challenges, fragmentation, and disruption of supply and technological chains, pragmatism and a
dialogue based on equality are particularly relevant and needed.
I would like to emphasise that Russia has always been, and remains, an integral part of the global
economy. We are open to constructive cooperation with all partners who share the principles of
mutual respect and are ready to develop fair and long-term relations. Together with our colleagues,
we remain actively engaged in multilateral institutions, including the United Nations and its
specialised agencies, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Commonwealth of Independent
States (CIS), BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and the Collective Security Treaty
Organisation, the presidency of which Russia assumed on January 1, 2026,” Vladimir Putin
stressed.
The President of Russia expressed confidence that the Forum’s extensive business programme and
its results-oriented discussions would contribute to the development of new and effective solutions
across all areas of economic and social life
