Proton renews collective agreements with unions

Proton Holdings Bhd renewed its collective agreement (CA) with union members on Aug 19, to replace that which expired in December last year.

Proton said the CAs provides certain improvements for employees which include an alignment with the new minimum wage order, employee insurance for personal accidents, term life, medical insurance and bereavement benefits.

"With the spirit of 'One Company Mindset' and the 'Management-Union as a Team' the renewed CAs marked improved collaboration and understanding between both parties," it said in a statement today.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Proton Chairman Datuk Seri Syed Faisal Albar and Industrial Relations Department, Director General, Fong Khei Por.

The renewed CA between the management and the union is the 10th for Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional Sdn Bhd and the 4th for Proton Tanjung Malim Sdn Bhd.
