Khazanah Nasional Bhd has renewed the employment contract of its Managing Director Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar for another three-year term effective June 1, 2016 to May 31, 2019.
Azman, 54, assumed his current position on June 1, 2004, said Khazanah, the strategic investment fund of the government, in a statement.
It is entrusted to hold and manage the commercial assets of the government and to undertake strategic investments.
The strategic investment fund is involved in various sectors such as power, telecommunications, financial institutions, healthcare, aviation, infrastructure, leisure and tourism, property, creative and media, education, as well as innovation and technology.
Some of the key listed companies in Khazanah's investment portfolio include Telekom Malaysia Bhd, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, CIMB Group, Axiata Group Bhd, IHH Healthcare Bhd, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd and UEM Sunrise Bhd.
